Get Directions NYU's Expository Writing Program sits on ancestral Lenape homelands. The Lenape were forcibly expelled from this land, experiencing a series of exclusions and erasures that saw them moving from Pennsylvania, then Ohio, Indiana, St. Louis, Missouri, Kansas, and finally Oklahoma.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will have achieved the following learning outcomes: Graduate students in the Creative Writing Program at NYU work intensively with faculty mentors in writing workshops and individual conferences to learn and master the basic elements of the craft of fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry.

Creative Writing Studio provides a focused workshop in one genre or area of creative writing (i.e. fiction, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, creative nonfiction, literary journalism, memoir, or translation) with an emphasis on modern and contemporary global writing.
