So, let’s answer an important question:

In short: It’s better to have a cover letter than not. Unless the job posting specifies it won’t accept cover letters, it’s best to submit one with your resume.

If the position is competitive, having a cover letter can tip the balance in your favor. A cover letter can demonstrate that you’ve researched the company, explained gaps in your employment, and included information that’s not in your CV, such as your internship, student org, or volunteer experience.

However, if you’ll only repeat what’s in your resume, it’s best if you skip the cover letter. At the same time, opt-out if you’re using a template and don’t have any plans to modify it. Using a template isn’t bad—that’s why you’ll find a sample below—but you must customize it according to your experience, relevant work skills, and reasons for applying.

With that settled, let’s discover how to write a cover letter for a marketing job with no experience.

How to write an entry-level digital marketing cover letter

1) identify keywords in the job description.

sample-job-description

Reading the job description is a must, whether or not you’re writing a cover letter. And since you are, you should analyze it to pick out prominent and repeated key words, key phrases, skills, and qualifications. These are words and phrases you should use in your cover letter and even your resume.

Using the right keywords will also help you get past the first round of CV screenings, especially since most employers use applicant tracking systems (ATS). ATS are automated programs that rank documents according to set parameters like keywords, skill sets, and similar criteria.

Hiring teams use ATS to weed out candidates without the basic skill sets, and those who applied on a whim. Plus, even without an ATS, recruiters use a similar system when reviewing applications. They’re good enough that they only spend an average of 7.4 seconds per application !

Strategically sprinkling these keywords on your entry-level marketing cover letter will show recruiters a few key things:

  • You’ve read the job description
  • You care about the position
  • You’re sure you’re the right fit for the job

2) Look at required job skills and qualifications

sample-job-description

While 91% of employers prefer candidates with work experience, at least 65% are content with applicants possessing relevant work experience. So while you might not have formal work experience, your technical and soft skills can do a lot of heavy lifting for you.

Recruiters want to know that you’ve got the basic skill sets to fulfill job requirements. Besides that, they need an indication of your teachability, or how quickly and well you learn new abilities. Moreover, they want to see if you’re capable of working hard and can transfer your skills to the workplace.

You’ll find more tips on what skills are needed for specific digital marketing jobs below. As for soft or transferable skills, you want to include them in your marketing cover letter through anecdotes. There’s a section for that too, so for now, here are some soft skills you might want to focus on:

  • Critical thinking
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Project management
  • Conflict resolution
  • Team management
  • Data analysis

3) Assess what experiences are related to the job

What you’ve accomplished in high school, college, or university brings a lot to the table. The experiences you’ve had creating and presenting your thesis, the crises you’ve resolved in your student organizations, any internships, apprenticeships, or school positions, volunteering—these can all be used to create a great impression on the recruiter.

Mind you, not every experience needs to be recalled in great detail. Pick ones that demonstrate competencies related to the opening. Using your knowledge of Instagram hashtags to craft a sample social media marketing strategy, for example, is a lot more relevant to digital marketing jobs than clerical work with your school’s alumni department.

4) Keep it short

You don’t want whoever’s reading your resume to zone out a paragraph in. Keep things tight—try to limit your paragraphs to three short sentences. And overall, ensure your letter only takes up a page—or less, as 70% of employers surveyed by Saddleback College prefer a half-page cover letter over others.

Now, keep all these points in mind as you write a marketing cover letter with no experience—which you can do with the template below:

If you’re sending your application via email, you don’t need to include this, as all details are in your email signature. If you’re sending your letter as an attachment, then write what you put in a signature in this format:

entry-level-digital-marketing-cover-letter

Below your header, write the date you’re sending your letter. Put the name of the hiring manager or whoever’s posted the job you’re responding to. Add the name of the company next. Some templates place the company address after the name, though you may skip this part.

2) Introduction

Try and keep your introductory paragraph short and sweet. Immediately state what position you’re interested in, how you found out about it, and any unique notes about the process. Then, end it with a hook to entice the recruiter to learn more about you.

entry-level-digital-marketing-cover-letter

3) Body: Relevant skills & experience

Don’t summarize what’s already in your resume! Dive into the skills, qualifications, and anecdotes you’ve thought of in the previous section and apply them here. Add the keywords you discovered from the job description as well.

digital marketing assistant cover letter no experience

A thing to note in this section, and the rest of your letter, is what adjectives you’ll use to describe yourself . You want to avoid words that promise things you can’t prove immediately, such as “hard-working”. Instead, go for words you can relay into an anecdote that shows off these traits.

4) Closing statement

Like your introduction, make your closing statement simple yet impactful. Note any requirements the employer may need from you, and encourage them to reach out for any further information they may need.

5) Pointers on how to send an entry-level digital marketing cover letter via email

For an entry-level digital marketing cover letter—or any cover letter, for that matter—you should label it clearly to avoid having it shunted to spam.

The subject line should follow the format prescribed by the employer. If they don’t have a format, you should try writing it like this:

  • Title on Job Posting — Your Name
  • Referral, Job Title, Your Name
  • Job ID, Age, Your Name

Attach your cover letter and your resume to the email. If the employer doesn’t accept attachments, copy your cover letter and paste it unformatted into the body of your email. Most browsers have a “Paste as plain text” option when you right-click on the email. If that’s not available, you can click “Remove formatting” under “Formatting options”

email-format

Lastly, don’t forget your email signature! You should include your contact details, so the hiring manager or whoever’s looking at your application can quickly reach out. It should look something like this:

  • Email address
  • Cellphone number

John Smith Position Acadium Company address line 1 Company address line 2

Dear Mr. Smith,

I’m forwarding my application for Acadium’s content writing position. I found out about the opening through your booth at my university’s job fair last March. After speaking to your representative, I believe my education and organizational experience makes me uniquely qualified to be your next content writer.

As you can see in my resume, I led student teams for ABC Inc.’s annual regional digital marketing competition in my sophomore to senior year. This is partly due to my strong communication and project management skills, which are must-haves for your ideal candidate.

The other reason for my leadership role is my adaptability and resourcefulness. In all three years of competition, I learned our sponsor company’s apps—including their CRM, SEO, website analytics, and social media management tools—to understand how a functional content marketing strategy works. Because of my pro-activeness, I was able to set my teams’ goals, craft winning strategies, and receive special citations for our project, until we won in my last year.

My performance led to two successful internships: one with a sponsor company, and another with ABC Inc. In both internships, I shadowed marketing teams—remotely and on-location—and created an opportunity to gain hands-on experience. I learned how to create SEO-optimized posts and helped conceptualize videos I posted on social media platforms, resulting in commendations.

I chose to apply to Acadium instead of the companies I interned for because of its direction. Free education and mentorship drove my extracurricular activities. I joined mentorship programs for teens in high-risk communities in the belief that everyone deserves access to tools and support to reach their dream careers. Working for Acadium will support my long-term goal of helping make education accessible while getting to do what I know I do best: marketing.

I’m confident that I fit Acadium’s work culture, and can deliver the type of content that will help its mentorship reach those who need it the most. I’ve linked to three high-converting posts I created in my internship in my email. I can be reached through email and social media, should you need more information.

Sincerely, Jane Doe

Every marketing role has specific skills that you need to hit in your cover letter.

Keep your template specialized by noting what experiences and skills are best suited for specific marketing roles.

1) Digital marketing

Entry-level digital marketing jobs typically require you to wear many hats—and in some cases, ALL the hats. As a generalist role, you need familiarity with multiple marketing channels, including:

  • Email marketing
  • Direct selling
  • Digital advertisements
  • SEO marketing
  • Social media marketing
  • Video marketing
  • Influencer marketing

Any familiarity with business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-client (B2C) marketing will also help. Job descriptions will also often look for candidates with these skills:

  • Can formulate content strategies
  • Analyze site data and online statistics
  • Develop and edit assets for marketing campaigns

That’s aside from soft skills and core competencies —transferable skills applicable to a wide range of jobs.

2) Social media marketing

Working in social media involves retaining the attention of a community, and inspiring continued engagement with a business. That can’t be achieved by posting willy-nilly, or merely sharing the latest trends. Thus, your cover letter should reflect how you plan on doing this for your employer.

Having a working knowledge of Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, and other social media management platforms helps a ton. It’s a plus if you’ve used these to manage any projects or business in any capacity. And even if you don’t have professional experience using these tools, it shows that you know how to operate tools you’ll likely use in the open role.

It’ll help if you highlight relevant skills, such as writing, data analysis, and content creation. What’s more, showing interest in social media as a marketing tool can tell a recruiter that you’re interested in learning more about the job.

3) Content marketing

The sample template above works for entry-level content marketing positions! But aside from digital marketing skills, you’ll need a firm grasp of copywriting and design. Copywriting is essential for every digital marketer, while graphic design and video production are crucial for engaging with highly visual audiences.

4) Email marketing

Email marketing requires a lot of creativity and analytical thinking. That’s because you’ll need to create email campaigns that persuades audiences to click through, and analyze what prevented them from hitting delete. Head off your cover letter by exhibiting how you have these transferable skills. Dig deep, and you’ll find experiences you can use for your cover letter.

SEO is king in digital marketing. And as a fresher or someone switching careers into entry-level SEO work, you likely already have some knowledge in SEO. Here’s a quick checklist of SEO-relevant skills you can put in your entry-level cover letter:

  • Data and market analysis
  • Consumer behavior research
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge
  • Keywords and phrase research
  • Writing and editing skills

Right off the bat, one of the best ways to get relevant marketing experience is through courses . Marketing courses teach fundamentals while letting you practice on tasks that test your skills. And since they grant certification, you’ll have proof of your skills.

But if you want a surer way to prove you’re qualified, why not try a marketing apprenticeship ?

A marketing apprenticeship is more than just an apprenticeship. You’ll learn marketing by engaging in tasks that have a real impact on businesses. Plus, you’ll get to use marketing tools that may be cost-prohibitive or have wider functions when used by businesses.

How to write a Digital Marketing cover letter

Here’s how to write your own winning Digital Marketing cover letter

How to write a cover letter

Write your cover letter in the body of an email/message

When you send a cover letter with a job application, you should always write your message into the body of your email – or the body of the messaging system if you are sending via a job website.

Why do this?

Simply because you want to get your message seen as soon as the recruiter opens your application.

If you attach the cover letter as a separate item, this means the recipient will have to open it before they can read it – slowing down the process and potentially causing frustration along the way.

So, write your cover note in the body of your email/message to ensure you make an instant connection with the reader.

Write cover letter in body of email

Start with a friendly greeting

Cover letter address

To kick your cover letter off, start with a friendly greeting to build rapport with the recruiter instantly.

Your greeting should be personable but professional. Not too casual, but not too formal either

Go with something like…

  • Hi [insert recruiter name]
  • Hi [insert department/team name]

Avoid old-fashioned greetings like “Dear sir/madam ” unless applying to very formal companies.

How to find the contact’s name?

Addressing the recruitment contact by name is an excellent way to start building a strong relationship. If it is not listed in the job advert, try these methods to find it.

  • Check out the company website and look at their  About page. If you see a hiring manager, HR person or internal recruiter, use their name. You could also try to figure out who would be your manager in the role and use their name.
  • Head to LinkedIn , search for the company and scan through the list of employees. Most professionals are on LinkedIn these days, so this is a good bet.

Identify the role you are applying for

Once you’ve opened up the cover letter with a warm greeting to start building a relationship, it is time to identify which role you want to apply for.

Recruiters are often managing multiple vacancies, so you need to ensure you apply to the correct one.

Be very specific and use a reference number if you can find one.

  • I am interested in applying for the position of *Digital Marketing role* with your company.
  • I would like to apply for the role of Sales assistant (Ref: 406f57393)
  • I would like to express my interest in the customer service vacancy within your retail department
  • I saw your advert for a junior project manager on Reed and would like to apply for the role.

Highlight your suitability

The main purpose of your cover letter is to excite recruiters and make them eager to open your CV. And you achieve this by quickly demonstrating your suitability to the job you are applying for.

Take a look at the job adverts you are applying for, and make note of the most important skills being asked for.

Then, when you write your cover letter, make your suitability the focal point.

Explain how you meet the candidate requirements fully, and why you are so well suited to carry out the job.

This will give recruiters all the encouragement they need to open your CV and consider your application.

Cover letter tips

Keep it short and sharp

It is best to keep your cover letter brief if you want to ensure you hold the attention of busy recruiters and hiring managers. A lengthy cover letter will probably not get read in full, so keep yours to around 3-6 sentences and save the real detail for your CV.

Remember the purpose of your cover letter is to quickly get recruiters to notice you and encourage them to open your CV, so it only needs to include the highlights of your experience.

Sign off professionally

To round of your CV, you should sign off with a professional signature.

This will give your cover letter a slick appearance and also give the recruiter all of the necessary contact information they need to get in touch with you.

The information to add should include:

  • A friendly sign off – e.g. “Kindest regards”
  • Your full name
  • Phone number (one you can answer quickly)
  • Email address
  • Profession title
  • Professional social network –  e.g. LinkedIn

Here is an example signature;

Warm regards,

Jill North IT Project Manager 078837437373 [email protected] LinkedIn

Quick tip: To save yourself from having to write your signature every time you send a job application, you can save it within your email drafts, or on a separate documents that you could copy in.

What to include in your Digital Marketing cover letter

Here’s what kind of content you should include in your Digital Marketing cover letter…

The exact info will obviously depend on your industry and experience level, but these are the essentials.

  • Your relevant experience – Where have you worked and what type of jobs have you held?
  • Your qualifications – Let recruiters know about your highest level of qualification to show them you have the credentials for the job.
  • The impact you have made – Show how your actions have made a positive impact on previous employers; perhaps you’ve saved them money or helped them to acquire new customers?
  • Your reasons for moving – Hiring managers will want to know why you are leaving your current or previous role, so give them a brief explanation.
  • Your availability – When can you start a new job ? Recruiters will want to know how soon they can get you on board.

Don’t forget to tailor these points to the requirements of the job advert for best results.

How to Write a Digital Marketing Cover Letter That Impresses Each Company

Salesperson pops out of computer screen to depict outselling the competition with sales cover letter

When creating a digital marketing strategy, one of the first steps you would take is defining your target market and researching their key pain points and needs. You should do the same when creating a cover letter .

Review the job description so you can tailor the skills you emphasize to each company’s needs. For instance, a company looking to improve its social media promotions may be highly interested in your skills in paid social ads or influencer marketing.

digital marketing assistant cover letter no experience

Write an impactful greeting and intro for your digital marketing cover letter

Think of the opening of your cover letter like the headline and intro paragraph when you’re writing sales page copy. You want it to feel relatable to essential company needs and their mission to grab attention right away.

If you’ve ever created personalized email marketing campaigns, you know that including someone’s name boosts open rates quite a bit. You should do the same with your cover letter and address it to the name of a specific hiring manager if you can find it in the job description or on the company website.

What you don’t want to do is have it sound too flat and generic, like the example below where the applicant doesn’t address a specific person, relate to the company’s mission, or talk about any of the specific digital marketing skills needed on the job.

This needs some work!

I was excited to see your job posting for a digital marketing assistant. I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and believe I have the skills you’re looking for in the position.

Take a look at the opener below that does a much better job of connecting with the digital marketing role at Bath & Body Works, relating to their dedication to creativity and innovation.

A great opener that connects with the company culture!

digital marketing assistant cover letter no experience

Effectively promote your skills in your digital marketing cover letter’s body

In the body of your cover letter, it’s time to get into the details of how your digital marketing skills, experiences, and education have equipped you for the role.

You know that marketing is a data-driven position with several KPIs that will be analyzed for every ad you create and proposal you come up with. Therefore, using examples with numbers whenever possible is a great idea.

For instance, you could share examples of how you performed an overhaul on the UI of a company’s landing pages to boost average time on page by 54% and conversions by 33%.

An excellent body paragraph with marketing KPIs!

digital marketing assistant cover letter no experience

Reinforce your abilities with a strong closing to your digital marketing cover letter

To start your closer, try to relate back to some of the key digital marketing skills you mentioned and your passion for the company’s mission. For example, you could say you’re eager to use your social media marketing skills to help a fitness brand grow its initiative of helping others live happier and healthier lives.

Lastly, it’s a great idea to say thank you for the hiring manager’s time and end with a light call to action, like “I look forward to hearing from you soon.” It’s the same as how you’d end any sales copy with a CTA to drive conversions.

Take a look at the example below that doesn’t quite hit the mark since the applicant doesn’t use a CTA or relate back to details about the company’s digital marketing needs.

Could use more details here!

I believe my skills and passion would fit in with your team well. Thank you for considering me for the digital marketing role.

Paige Turner

Instead, aim for a closer like the one below that shows a true passion for Lear Corporation’s innovative sustainability efforts and how the applicant will fit in with their dynamic digital marketing team.

An excellent closer that connects to the company!

A template for your digital marketing cover letter can help speed up the application process. It’s the same as how you may use a template for social media posts to ensure they’re well-structured. Just be sure to write a unique cover letter for each job tailored to the company’s needs.

Try to limit your cover letter to one page. It’s similar to creating ad copy. If it’s too long, it’ll lose a hiring manager’s attention and detract from your top skills like positioning strategies or marketing analysis.

Choosing the tone of your cover letter is like selecting the appropriate brand voice for a target audience. Review the company’s tone in the job description and try to match it to show how you’ll fit in with the company culture.

Marketing Assistant Cover Letter Sample (Full Text Version)

Angelina sobiech.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for the opportunity to submit my application for the Marketing Assistant job at your company. I possess the experience, knowledge, and important skills which this position requires and therefore believe that the Waersky Digital's mission and goals perfectly suit what I have to offer as a professional.

My background includes the Marketing Assistant job at Taylor & Francis Group, where I worked for two years. During my time there, I was responsible for and pro-actively participated in multiple minor and major promotional activities, such as creation of digital content for social media, examination of potential sales and business growth opportunities, evaluation of existing marketing efforts, and organisation and coordination of various industry events. I also represented the company at multiple trade shows and marketing conferences. Moreover, I had the great opportunity to learn what's it like to function and work in various departments within the firm. For achieving great results, I was awarded Employee of the Month.

With a proven track record of success in improving the SEO and increasing the website traffic, I always maintain a valuable knowledge of the current market trends. This approach then lets me come up with creative promotional strategies and plans which not only meet but often exceed targeted objectives. In addition, I have worked with multiple professional marketing software programmes, for example, ActiveCampaign, RankActive, iContact Pro, and Improvely that taught me how to effectively analyze data and transform it into solutions.

I have a deep passion for social media which was developed during my studies at the University of Sussex. Having a Marketing with Economics degree, I am fascinated about how much can internet marketing contribute to business growth and development. I am confident in my abilities to think critically, work in a team setting, and solve complex problems. I believe that all these would help me to perform excellent work at Waersky Digital.

It would be an honor to have this opportunity and I look forward to hearing from you.

How to Write a Marketing Resume With No Experience?

Marketing is a creative and quantitative job that allows you to use your multifunctional skills. It is an industry with lots of opportunities and is ideal for effective, decisive, and strategic individuals. You need outstanding communication capabilities, that you can learn through marketing courses and that nearly everyone around you can relate to.

The Marketing Week 2019 Carrier and Salary Survey states that over half (5 percent) of marketing professionals say that they did not study academic or technical credentials related to marketing. And not everyone found their qualifications to be useful to those who did it.

This doesn’t mean a bachelor’s degree isn’t necessary. It means, that even if you don’t have a marketing degree on your resume and no experience, you could be also a candidate.

Writing a resume for entry-level marketing

Here is our guide for writing the ideal marketing resume with no experience.

Enhance Your Resume with Certifications

Since we live in the industry 4.0 era, the opinions on a bachelor’s degree or experience started to change. Your creativity, skills, and goals are now as valuable as your prior works and education. So we encourage you to get some credible digital marketing certificates at the beginning.

marketing-cv-for-entry-level-jobs

Based on the clear message that you are serious about marketing to a potential employer or your first freelance customer, it reveals that you try to think about marketing.

A lot of fancy online digital marketing courses are available. We suggest that you obtain a range of basic certifications from leading organizations.

There is a wide range and you should deepen the issues that you are most interested in.

Display them with pride when you receive your certificates! Put them on your resume, post them on your LinkedIn profile and share them with your friends your performance. It doesn’t just encourage you to look more professional, it makes you more motivated.

We also explained how to feature your online courses on your CV.

You need to continue learning after you understand the basics. Spending at least 4 hours per week in marketing on blogs, webinars, articles, and podcasts on the new marketing innovations could help you fill your entry-level marketing resume with no experience. The marketing industry is highly competitive, and you should stay up-to-date while practicing regularly.

Since the books get outdated so fast, your real secret is blogs and podcasts. You will find your favorite ones gradually and start to return to them regularly.

You can use the advice of marketing people when familiarizing yourself with the digital marketing blogosphere. There are curated collections of papers approved by real people.

Take Action

Reading is fine, but you need to begin applying your knowledge in practice to learn broadly.

If you think that you have no practical experience, you can create your first gig for cutting-edge marketing resumes for the first job.

Create Your Side Hustle

You should launch something yourself as quickly as possible. For instance, start a WWII tank model podcast on Spotify, grow an Instagram page, and launch a blog. Use your enthusiasm to create a marketing project.

While they might not be known quickly, these mediums are just as much marketing experience in the eyes of an employer as a structured job.

As the marketing process gets flexible, these projects are great to amplify your resume. If you can demonstrate that you can do this on a side project without budgets, this also demonstrates that you can fit a paid project.

Invest in Your Future

You could just start a homemade pastry shop with a friend. Perhaps the dog rescue shelter wants its social media presence to do a better job. Or even for the new term, your university must encourage its postgraduate roles.

Tons of initiatives are in desperate need of the help of a marketer. You will have to work with them with a lot of dedication and as a “test subject.” At this point, volunteering is investing in your resume and your future job as a marketer. Just try to see the win-win situation and see it as a marketing internship to fill your resume with no experience.

Create Your Network

  • You now have to find someone to speak with. This is the networking strength.
  • First of all, networking is an ability that you should master. It’s the result of a lifelong aversion to many people I don’t recognize. Don’t take my word, agree with HBR and the New York Times.
  • Let’s go deeper now, as we have a major concern. Networking is not aimed at finding a job at this stage. The marketing experts need to be identified.
  • Wanna visit the local community? A meeting is a good place to get started and Facebook events are also working.
  • Would you like to go virtually? There are several choices then. Groups on Facebook and Slack communities for digital marketers are good places to go deep.

Choose the Format for Your Resume

Today we use several main resume templates: chronological, functional, and hybrid, all combined. A chronological summary format lists the reverse-chronological work history of a nominee.

A functional resume format is intended to highlight rather than job experience the candidate’s skills and accomplishments. While this functional CV format can be an enticing choice for low-level job seekers, most employers prefer chronological or hybrid resume formats. No matter which type of resume you want, make sure your format is consistent during the work resumption.

Write a Cover Letter

Even if you are not wanted, sending a short cover letter with your CV is always a good idea. Cover letters show you where your personality comes from and why you are the ideal candidate for this role you must use them. A letter in a stand-out cover can persuade an employer to interview you if your curriculum vitae doesn’t contain everything you want to see.

Customize Your Resume for Each Job Application

Various work posts will include different keywords, various tasks, and so forth. The best approach for having your application noticed and potentially reaching your first job is the appeal to the criteria and requirements of each employer.

Emphasize your Personality and Attitude

Have you noticed how many job descriptions speak of a good mindset or a solid work ethic? This is because these characteristics are universally bound to be a great worker. Employment managers also search for a great individual who can then train in the appropriate skills.

Use your CV and cover letter to clarify the personality features that will make you a better colleague and employee. This can be done by including personal accomplishments which show your drive and willingness.

Specify Your Proposal for a Particular Value

You have a unique mix of talents, features, and experiences that distinguish you from other marketers. You have to describe precisely what this particular mixture is, to produce a genuinely successful resume – we’ll call it your proposal for value.

Think about what distinguishes you from other marketers in order to build your value proposition. Is this your in-depth marketing analysis knowledge? Do you have the capacity to write outstanding headlines? Maybe it’s your talent to create tough videos? Or maybe you have an amazing record of using social media to boost sales? Anyway, you can use it to distinguish your CV from the crowd.

Why Do These Resumes Help?

For both a human and a computer, your digital marketing resume structure should be straightforward to understand. This means that any graphics or difficult formatting should be avoided. Split your CV into consumable pieces to make life easy for the person to check it out.

Maintain a One-Page Resume

  • Your professional experience should be divided into bullet points easy to read.
  • Avoid every grammar and orthographic error. Don’t let it be the reason why you’re not getting an interview!

You know the value of measurement and reporting firsthand as a digital marketer. As such, while summarizing your former employment experience, you should aim to use numbers. Any good digital marketer’s ultimate objective is to make more money for their business. Prove that you can measure your influence in your previous employment.

As a digital marketing manager, it is crucial that you show ownership of past efforts. The best method to do this is by using verbs. You will see in this summary words such as “owned,” “optimized,” “driven,” and “designed.

Your curriculum vitae title should always be the same as your title (immediately under your name). So if you apply for the position of a digital marketing manager, you should be called “digital marketing manager.”

You should expand on the section about education when you are a digital marketer seeking your first full-time employment. You must lead your curriculum vitae with your strength and these strengths should be what you learned when you have no work experience yet. Try always to include your projects as a digital marketer at the entrance level. The beauty of digital marketing is that you don’t have to start with much money.

The purpose of integrating your curriculum vitae projects is to show the recruitment manager that you have a digital marketer capability and will succeed.
