I was running relatively late in the store (7:30pm) in Merriam, Ks last evening so as expected, I could not find an associate to help me with a ceiling fan pull chain switch. I had just visited your competitor in Roeland Park and no one was available and did not have the switch I needed even though it was for a ceiling fan purchased at their store. So I said, let me run over to HD and take my chances. I was met by Joe R. and as I asked him if he knew anything about electric issues, he said no I'm sorry and his cohort he had been talking to laughed and said, he's just teasing. I was immediately calmed. I needed that at that tense moment. So then Joe took his time to help me and was thoroughly helpful and patient with me, a senior, and together, we figured out exactly what I needed. He's a gem and you should definitely keep Mr. Joe...

We live in Nebraska and needed to get new floors in our house in AZ. We used store 0483 in Surprise. Our contact person was June. We liked her so much we had to go in and meet her in person. She made the purchase so easy. She was wonderful!!! We also want to give Betty in customer service a shout-out because she made returning a few extras material really easy. We were also most impressed with Kim, the project coordinator, she kept things moving and was always in touch. Angel, who was the installers supervisor did a great job. We love our floors and they were done in 2 days. We are most happy with our Home Depot experience!!!

My husband and I have been looking for a small freezer to put in our garage. We had shopped online and in 3 or 4 stores, including 1 Home Depot. No one had what were looking for. We were near Home Depot in Harrison, OH and decided to check their inventory. We met Appliance Specialist, Bradley Howington who was very knowledgeable about garage ready freezers. He didn't have what we were trying to find, so he looked online. They still did not have a small one. He finally looked on Amazon and actually found exactly what we wanted. Bradley is the most helpful sales person we have come into contact with in years. He is an asset to the Home Depot team. Even though Home Depot stores are not the most convenient location for us, we will be making Home Depot, Harrison our Go-to store. Thank you so much Bradley.

Had trouble with two doors (the knobs were defective) and had to have them replaced (one fell off, one locked and wouldn’t open). The installer arrived an hour late. He told me he “did not like being watched and to go read a book”!! He refused to key my locks to the key that matched the deadbolt. (They were Kwik set brand knobs). This was the Home Depot in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I called and spoke to Kelly, the manager. He is the only door installer they have. Very disappointed in this paranoid and incompetent, late-arriving idiot!

Went to Home Depot, walked all around looking for all the things on my list. Walked up to customer service, where there were literally 5 people behind the counter. I asked if someone could check me out on one of the 3 open registers. I was instructed to walk to the other side of the store and check myself out… No Thanks!!!! Set my stuff down and walked out. SHAME ON HOME DEPOT. Big fan of Lowe's from here on out.

A online purchase for furniture that was refused and returned to shipper with proof and evidence on the Home Depot website and from the shipper and the merchant that items went back to warehouse. Now Home Depot says retail equation is deny the return and Home Depot won't release funds saying it's out of the control and the Home Depot credit card citibank will not give a credit back saying Home Depot will not release funds. Citibank lied and said they know furniture went back and we would get a refund but it did not happen. Got a letter saying payment was due in full for over $2000 for something never delivered. I refused it and have proof, with tracking information and emails.

I had a horrible experience with Gussy tonight, at the Flowery Branch Home Depot. This is the second time I have dealt with this woman and this is my second complaint about her. I don't know why she even got involved but she started looking up why my Home Depot store credit didn't work. She was claiming that the card was old, even though the card was issued to me 18 days ago. She started giving me excuse after excuse hoping that I would accept it. When I got upset, she was telling me to calm down, even though she was raining her voice to me - THE CUSTOMER! At no time did her or Bryce, the store manager give me a credible answer. This store is horrible. I will use my remaining store credit, if she doesn't steal it and then move on to buy from LOWE'S. I am tired of dealing with the problems from this store and nothing being done about it. Those employees disrespect customers and are applauded.

In the summer of 2023 we purchased a GE washer/Dryer combo model #GUV27EE when the dryer of our 7 year old GE W/D combo caught fire. (thank goodness we had a fire extinguisher nearby!) The appliance sales person at the Loganville store is wonderful. We have lived in Loganville 30 years and purchased many large appliances with her help before. Without compromising her job position, I think she tried to warn us, but because we have a small laundry room, we liked the w/d combination size, and purchased it and had Home Depot install it. Within a couple weeks we knew we hated it. It is supposed to be energy saving but the water levels are so low, with no way to adjust them, that all our dark clothes were stained by the soap- even though we used the recommended soap type and amount, so we had to wash everything twice- and still couldn't get the white soap stain out.

We went to the store to complain but we were told that in spite of what we read, Home depot does not have a return policy. After going back and forth with GE (with the help of the HD sales rep) we finally gave up, and we can only use the WD on 1 cycle "bulk load". BUT what is worse is that a couple months after purchase, the hose came unhooked because of faulty installation and flooded 2 rooms and lots of items on our first level!

My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.

“What happened?”

I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.

My craftsman 8" Pole saw bar became bent and I could not find any bars to fit it. I ordered one and it was not the matching one and no one seemed to have one. I decided to go and purchase a new Pole saw attachment and found the RYOBI one which seemed better and was a 10". As I came home and started to use it, the motor base I was using gave out and had to purchase a new one. I went out and bought the RYOBI one as well. Both machines did a terrific job for me and am very happy I decided to make this purchase

I was recently offered a position at a Home Depot store in Tennessee. The offer was quickly pulled when their computers saw that I am a CIA drug operation whistleblower. These stores are just drug money laundering operations for CIA, like many other corporations. I have the ledgers to prove it.

NEVER AGAIN will I purchase any item from Home Depot. I ordered a GE washer/dryer unit for a rental property in August—over a span of 1.5 months, 3 deliveries were made with the product severely damaged each time. One of those times, delivery crew damaged the pipes and walls AND threatened my tenants. There was a 4th attempt at delivery but the delivery crew failed to wait for the 15-min window and left without completing delivery. Unbelievably awful experience and so I will never shop at Home Depot again.

Overall, it seems that customers were very satisfied with their products. But I didn’t stop there. I also looked at a few other Home Depot reviews on other websites to see what people had to say about the brand.

Here’s what one buyer wrote in their Home Depot review on Consumer Affairs: “Home Depot has always been a dependable home supplies retailer. If you can’t find something at the other retailers, you’ll most likely find it at a Home Depot. Prices are reasonable (not cheap) and customer service is above average, provided you look for it.”

Fair prices, good product selection, and solid customer service were common throughout many Home Depot reviews I read. Another short piece of feedback spoke about those points as well: “I really prefer Home Depot because there’s always associates there to assist you. You can always return things and I enjoy ordering online and picking up in store.”

The final Home Depot review I want to include speaks about the brand’s great prices that are awesome for customers trying to save some money: “I really enjoy going to Home Depot’s and going shopping there, the variety is there and the prizes are very competitive on some items.”

From what I found online, Home Depot has succeeded for a reason: many customers love what they offer. From products to customer service, customers trust Hoem Depot when they think of home renovations or other projects.

Is Home Depot Legit?

While I believe that Home Depot is legit, there is one issue that comes with a company of this size: undertrained staff members. Due to their size, not all their employees are trained to answer every customer question, which is why there are reports of unsatisfactory Home Depot customer service.

However, I’d take these complaints with a grain of salt because these issues depend on the location you shop at. They’re not universal, but they are worth keeping in mind.

Poor customer service $3500 generator

Recently I purchased a $3500 generator and the receipt showed there 90 returns policy. During a ice storm the generator malfunctioned and I tried to return it to the store. Both the service lead and the store manager Jeremy was very rude and refused to let me return it because it had been 6 weeks. Told me if I'd gone on line and read the rest of the return policy it was only 30 minutes for generators. Told me I'd have to file a claim and have it fixed. Truly this stores customer service manners are poor and the going on line to read additional return policies is not an honest way to do business. I'm a 72 year old widow and don't use Internet and expected the store to help me. I will never shop there again or suggest anyone else does. I am also sharing my story as often as possible. This treatment was really wrong!

Home Depot mandates new self check out for contarctors…

Home Depot mandates self check out for contractors or those using that side of the store. The attendent humiliates by chasing the customers from one screen to another to force compliance. The large screens display personal information including signature that it can easily be copied by taking a picture: including place of work, and total money paid, follow along for all to copy. Imagine a full cart of merchandise for a job site: 40 pc 2 x4, screwsm PL glue, all at once. Am I the one who does the job of a cashier or drag the cart extra to pro desk... The contractors are all upset, do not like it.

Satisfaction not guaranteed

Not happy with my washer and employees keep telling me it’s the best top loader washer they got, one even said all managers have it, except when I wanted to talk to them that one didn’t have it ! Lol. I will post a picture every day of my dirty laundry this week:(

Order status a joke

Ordered items on jan 16 online canada. Delivery said 72 hours. It is now jan 31. Have discovered the vendor homedepot canada buys these blinds from is in the usa. My status keeps saying out for delivery and not one customer service rep took the time to check as to why i still had not received the delivery. In fact 2 days ago i was assured jan 30 between 8-8. Nothing areived. I called UPS today myself and they have never even been requested to go Pick these up from The vendor. Finally someone at HD attempted to contact the vendor and there is no response. I said ok, just refund me. NOPE. Now i have to wait 48 hours for further investigation. So if i ever do get this order it will be almost a month or longer , And i doubt i ever will as it appears homedepot is dealing with scammer vendors is the USA. Horrible experience and still out close to $500 and waiting .

I'm doing renos on my house

I'm doing renos on my house. Mahmoud was outstanding, so knowledgable,helpful and pleasant to deal with. Sheemaine was very helpful and pleasant as well. Mahmoud & Sheemaine were both very attentive and pleasant to work with while collecting items with my contractor. Beware of returns

Please ensure you receive a receipt or proof when returning appliances via their delivery services. They will say it wasn’t returned and you’ll be on the hook. I’d rate them -0 if I could. I will never deal with them again. On a positive note I was able to find the same appliance at Canadian Appliance Source. I believe HD will be out of business in a few years due to their horrendous customer service etc

brutal customer service

brutal customer service - tried to get through to live chat, text chat, and call chat - no answer from any of them in the least over the past 2 days. the online chat will say "you're 6th in line - please respond to show you're still there/connected" but won't let you type in the chatbox to let them know you're still there. tried in multiple browsers across 2 pc's and a phone. happens on all devices.

We recently purchased a washing machine…

We recently purchased a washing machine and asked for delivery. The driver came early and blocked our driveway off and refused to drive down our driveway, when we asked him to move down the road so we could get our truck onto the road and unload it he said " I don't have to stay and listen to your attitude" then proceeded to drive off and took the dawn thing to Ottawa and hour away. We will be getting a refund and taking our business elsewhere. What a gong show.

Ordering my new toilet was no problem…

Ordering my new toilet was no problem at all, but the delivery and the date of delivery as well as ANY delivery information is like pulling hen's teeth. An e-mail was sent this morning letting me know that it was "in transit", however when I called Home Depot I was told that the delivery is expected 8 days from today. When the "in transit" notification e-mail was received, I hurriedly had my old toilet removed to make room for this new one (I'm in a small condo and there is no room). At the time when I purchased it I was told that delivery would be on the 20th (tomorrow). I wanted to cancel this order but was told that it was too late for a cancellation. Does it really take 10 days (or 8 business days) to deliver something that is only 5 kilometers away????? I have no recourse but to wait this one out as, at this moment, I can't even go and pick it up myself. I could go on, but needless to say, if you're going to shop at Home Hardware, be sure to either pick up your purchase yourself or take it with you on the spot. The store employees are terrific, but their delivery service is abominable as is their telephone system .... the gentleman I was speaking with was very friendly, patient, and understanding, but I could only make out every 3rd word he was saying and he had to keep repeating himself.

Just spent the afternoon trying to order 3 items on the homedepot.ca website. I would get 2 items ordered then when I eventually found the 3rd, found out my shopping basket kept losing that. Then tried to phone in my order - no joy, the phone number (which the local site doesn't display) gives a robotic voice saying to do something which a phone cannot do. What a farce! Will buy from elsewhere.

The worst, an oversized flea market. Home Depot has nothing ever in stock, they receive merchandise from 3rd party vendors in China. Ryobi should be ashamed of themselves letting Home Depot sell their product. Because they never have anything and have the most incompetent workers ever. Home Depot customer support/service has always been terrible and just gets worse with time. 1. They don't answer the phone. 2. They have an auto attachment which forces you to speak. I don't want my voice saved on their data servers. I want to use my keypad. 3. They're website sucks and again forces you to accept cookies which again I don't care to use. Home Depot is all about taking your information and sharing it with others (including the government)! 4. In store, good luck finding staff to actually help you (if they have the knowledge to). If you do find one they typically send you to the other side of the store and hope not to see you again. 5. They don't have everything (understandably) but they are not well stocked on what they do carry.

If there was an option to select less than one star I would have. Ordered flooring to complete a job for a client. After online purchase, the receipt stated a delivery of July 4th. Two days later no email update and status still shows only that order is confirmed. Call to customer service leads absolutely nowhere. Tried the text bot. Totally useless. This department should be called "customer non- service". For the amount of profit this company makes, hiring competent and capable "real" humans should be the way to assist paying customers not automation

From the start ordering appliances from Home Depot has been frustrating. Limited delivery range, no store pickup. There are no options for people that live outside their delivery radius. Prices fluctuate day to day, hour to hour. As I'm trying to add items to my cart the price on individual appliances moves. 2 hour wait for customer service agents via phone, text, or chat; the medium doesn't matter. Agents border on down right rude. Very dismissive and unwilling to help beyond saying "sorry, that's the way it is". Ask to speak to a supervisor and you get disconnected.

Do your homework and avoid the incompetency of this company. If I could id give them a -5 star review. I ordered a product online and received conformation of the order and when the pick up date arrived they had no idea of my order and said they didn't receive it. So I gave them my order number and they said they don't know what happened but I wouldn't be receiving any material anytime soon at least a month! and that was after I spent countless hours getting bounced around from person to person. Couldn’t give a rats ass about the customer. Deliberately unhelpful

Customer service is absolutely HORRENDOUS. We have had appliances get lost, go missing and delayed because of shipping errors. Home Depot refused to be of assistance in tracking down an order for lost MONTHS. Now? A freezer was delivered, damaged, and we are getting the run around to even speak to a human being about correcting this. Save yourselves the effort. Shop somewhere that values customers.🙄

Collingwood ontario store. Wow! Sexist male staff! Asked them to cut wood for me and the attitude was horrible, literally threw the cut wood on the cart. Needed a sheet of drywall cutting into 3 and the guy torn it apart! "Oh the paper rips its fine!" Literally unusable for my project! Turns out he was a manager!!! Micheal!!! Customer skills zero, basic DIY skills zero! Thank goodness for the lady at the till Nicole. Fantastic staff member

We ordered hardwood flooring online on two occasions recently. After waiting a week each time we received an email stating that each of our orders had been cancelled. We went to a local Home Depot and were advised , after they looked in their computer, that HD were stopping stocking Bruce Hardwood flooring. Despite this they continue to offer it online only to cancel the order once you ave gone to the trouble of ordering it A total waste of my time.

the continue changing their tax policies again

Until a few weeks ago, I used to purchase all of my items from Home Depot. However, they have recently implemented a new tax policy that has made the purchasing process more complicated. Their online system is not functioning properly, and they do not provide prompt responses. When I visited the pro-section of the store, I was directed to complete all of the necessary paperwork online. These additional steps are frustrating and time-consuming, as if I am working for them. I took my IL state tax exemption number to the store, but it didn't work. I've heard from workers that this problem is happening to many other contractors as well. In the end, I gave up and returned to MENARDS, where I don't have this problem. Unfortunately, these stores are far from my business, but I have to get used to buying everything at once again. Home Depot has become the store where I buy simple things that I forget or need during my work. It appears that many contractors, like myself, are now visiting MENARDS more frequently. It seems that I am not alone in experiencing this issue.

Maytag washer warranty

We bought a Maytag washer from Home Depot with a 10 yr. warranty. Before the washer turned 3 it broke down. We could not reach the warranty company although the manager did do so for us. However, through warranty we were directed to Gold Applicance who works on Maytag for our area and in 2 1/2 months they have been out twice and have not yet fixed it. We are supposedly waiting for a part that was ordered 3 weeks ago but, the company can't seem to give us any definitive information at this point if the part came in or when it can be repaired! We have not heard from the warranty company for a buy-out either. The warranty costing us $150 is worthless. Not to mention a pretty costly washer considering we only got less than 2 years out of it. And have had haul everything to the laundromat since October.

Amazing what little competition lets you get buy with

It literally took over an hour to make a payment this time, even though I use this charge card a couple of times a year. Their online site locked me out after I requested a code to change my password three times, because it never sent me a code. Their 800 phone number asks you a ton of questions before you even get to a payment option, then again had no information from any of my other phone payments. All this for a $12 charge purchase I made last month. They were $3 higher than Amazon, but I was already there. My Home Depot card is now cut into 9 pieces, evenly distributed between three waste baskets.

I use to go to Home Depot and had no issues. However, I recently have had two major issues with them. 1) I rented a carpet cleaner from them and it was extremely moldy and smelt. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice it until I had already started and it made my whole house smell and destroyed my carpet. 2) Ordered a washing machine and they screwed up the install and old washer pickup and said they were not on the order. They weren’t able to add those services the same day either. They also were not able to pick up our old washer after the new one was installed at a later date. Therefore, we are returning and purchasing from a different company. What a bunch of morons.

Awful Online shoping

I have ordered a mop online on December 27, 2023. I got a receipt by email, saying clearly that order is confirmed and will be delivered to me by Jan 04, 2024. On Jan 04, it was not yet even shipped. I contacted the Customer Service. They said to me that Jan 04 order is to be confirmed and does not mean it must be delivered on this date. The contact person just did not care about the issue. It is my second online buy from them and the first experience was not better. My item was arrived 6 months later! It is a horrible and the worst merchant I have ever encountered. I will never ever do business again with them.

Even a one-star is too much. Their delivery driver mocked us and was extremely rude. We are returning the dryer and will never return to Home Depot. I bet that with this kind of customer service, Home Depot, God willing, will be out of business in less than five years. Their customer service dept is a joke.

Highly frustrated!

We used Home Depot to redo our roof years ago. Fast forward it’s leaking. We called the store and got the phone number to the warranty company Genpact. After two and a half hours on wait, I got a callback. A work order was assigned. The next move was to assign an inspector. Now a week later no response from the company at all despite emails and calls.

I wanted to install a bi-fold door for…

I wanted to install a bi-fold door for my walk in closet in place of a regular door. Home Depot charged me $40 for the measure and then I received a quote for the installation of the door for labor & materials (not counting the cost of the door) of $774. This is highway robbery. Needless to say, I did not use Home Depot installation services. I did not even buy my door from them. I got a better price on the door from Lowe's and I hired a carpenter to install the new bi-fold door for $125. I do not know how anyone uses their installation services. Their prices are outrageous. I will never deal with Home Depot again. The person who gave the outrageous price is Mei Troutman.

Home Depot you must do better. Complete insanity that I can’t talk to a human being before pressing several commands. Then when I get a human I get put on hold or they purposely disconnect me. I shop at Home Depot a lot for my home DIY projects. They definitely have everything under one roof, which saves me having to run around to different stores. Their selection is huge. The problem is stuff is out of stock kind of often. Some employees really know their stuff when you ask a question, and others seem clueless. Prices are okay but I know I can likely find better deals if I looked around more. It works in a pinch but leaves something to be desired.

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong. I paid for an LG wash unit in early November online. 4 or 5 times the delivery was cancelled and rescheduled. Once the delivery company ( a private contractor) brought a unit so badly damaged it would not work. After 5 weeks of holding my money, the company finally sent a unit that the delivery company could not deliver because the truck was much too large for the bridge. So that private contractor reported that the bridge is unsafe (it isn’t) and the company would not deliver the merchandise. I am disgusted with the disrespect with which I have been treated. No one knows what is going on. All services are farmed out to private contractors who don’t care if we receive our orders. NO ONE SHOULD EXPECT A GOOD OUTCOME FOR DOING BUSINESS WITH HOME DEPOT. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME!

Multiple glitches listed

Here’s a list of the multiple glitches (numbered below) that I encountered in my recent experience with Home Depot: 1. I ordered a grill for assembled pickup, but (1) Was never informed when it was ready. 2. (2) There was no record or status of the order on their website, or on their phone app, when I typed-in the order #. 3. I picked it up, got it home, and discovered (3) No power cord, (4) No assembly tools that I might need later - to tighten anything loose, etc, (5) Scratches indicating it was either an out-of-box floor model, or a previously-returned item, and (6) No user manuals. 4. I called, willing to drive 10 miles again to pick up the missing items, and (7) It took about an hour to resolve. I’m not a difficult person, evident in that I paid for an out-of-its-box item at the new-in-box price, was willing to keep it, and even drive back to pick up the missing items. Trusting Home Depot with this $2,000+ purchase should have gone much smoother. I’m very conflicted about what happened, and wonder if individual customers get treated differently from their professional customers.

I would give it negative one million stars if I could. I ordered 4 cabinets and a beverage fridge on 1/7/2024. The delivery date was set for 1/29/24. When the items shipped i tracked them and they were delivered to a RXO location on 1/16/24 and did not move for a week. I called Home Depot and got nowhere I reached out to RXO and the order was incomplete as it was missing one of the cabinets. They requested a dock search and could not find it. I had to order another cabinet to replace the missing one and I have yet to get the order released so what they have can be delivered, I have called Home Depot every day for the past 10 days and been on hold over an hour each time being transferred to several different people all telling me something different. I am beyond frustrated and mad and just want what I paid for. Home Depot has stated at least 5 times that they requested to have the order shipped incomplete, yet I have nothing. If Home Depot knows the order is and will be incomplete, they should not lie to me and say they called when they didn't. I have had to work with RXO (Home Depot's shipping company) and try and take of this on my one and my own dime. When you pay about $2,000.00 for something you should receive it on or before the delivery date. This is totally unacceptable!!!! I can only imagine what my cabinets will look like when I finally do receive them after sitting in a warehouse for a month. Who know when I will get the replacement cabinet as well. Home Depot Online has the worst customer service ever! I would seriously think twice about every ordering from them online. I have about 20 hours of my life I will never get back from being on hold and all the phone calls I have had to make.

They Don't Care About Customers

I ordered tile and leveler online with delivery to my home, over $1000. Only half the tile I ordered was delivered, yet the order showed it was all delivered. Fed Ex confirmed only 6 units were delivered, not 12. Multiple calls to customer service. One lie after another, one excuse after another. They said they would refund what I didn't get. I didn't want a refund. I wanted what I ordered. Does anyone want a new room with half a floor????? Unethical business, and they really don't care about customers.

I bought and paid for 40 cases of floor tiles to redo the entire r.v. floor. Everything was fine until I now have to schedule a repair job of a section of the floor due to a water leak. Went back to home depot to buy the additional 3 cases of tiles, only to be told they don't carry that style/print of tiles any longer, which also means that the warranty for all the tiles is nothing other than bull crapola of empty promises. What good is the lifetime warrant if I can't get a damn replacement matching tile.

Don't rely on online orders &/or deliveries

Ordering or researching even, on HD website is a frustrating and pointless process. Continuously says that basic products that I'm searching are not found even though they are on my order history which I then have to locate and then order that way which takes more time. And when I did order I was supposed to have wood delivered to a job within a certain time that was very specific and had an urgent deadline date the driver never even showed up so then I had to reschedule again and they said the truck was too big and I had to reschedule again.... so basically, ya, I'm done with Home Depot.

"Pro" desk make a mistake on an insulation order and when I went to correct their mistakes , Evan, a clearly under qualified manager was accusative, rude and very condescending. I will be contacting his supervisor the day after Christmas.

While staying at an RBO, we encountered an ant infestation! Home Depot to the rescu! Purchased some ortho insect killer with a hose so we could spray every inch of the perimeter and while there, also picked up the bait for the exterior. Even though we stopped in for something specific, I couldn't help wander through the garden section. It's mid July and they were still well stocked with beautiful perrenials and colorful annuals. Great prices in pots and vessel; I picked up a few to bring back home even though there are many Home Depot's in Portland. There were several other items that caught my attention - shelving for the garage, cleaning supplies, outdoor lighting - but I will wait to purchase locally as the car is already quite full. Service was friendly. When one of the pots didn't have a price, a staff member ran back to the garden department to find a like item. Tons of parking and located right off the first exit in The Dalles when heading East, it was a quick and gorgeous drive from Hood River.

I went in today to purchase close to $2000 in landscaping plants. No one working in the department, and the "help" desk was completely inept. The woman who supposedly worked the area didn't have a clue and stood there with a blank stare and the guy wasn't any better. Not a one offered to help me in the nursery yard and it appeared they didn't want to put in any effort at all to make a sale. This after I waited on hold for 15 minutes yesterday to get an order placed. I hung up then and walked out today. I'll be spending my money somewhere where they actually care about customer service.

I think I have a new favorite Home Depot. There is nothing wrong with my old favorite in Troutdale, however it's a nice drive out here and they are always well stocked and friendly. Their garden center is what I was after while my husband was picking up hardware for work. I was impressed with the selection/ not always the cheapest on plants. Like a $17 tomato plant, but there are deals to be had if you look around.

We purchased a new front loader washer/dryer set, while the delivery guys were lazy and didn't bother with the dryer vent and told us we had to make the opening in the shelf bigger, when in reality it fit fine when my husband installed it. Then after they left we realized they gave us a 4 prong dryer cord and we needed a 3 prong cord, which they obviously didn't check either. But the highlight of the story is that when I called customer service at The Dalles store, Thomas graciously offered to bring the right dryer cord to my house on his way home and swap them out free of charge. He even brought two options and made sure of which one we would need. Wonderful customer service from Thomas!

I live 35 miles away from the store. When I come in, I usually get intelligent, professional service -- or I used to. Today, I drove in to order something I could have gotten online; I wanted to look the person that I'd bring the item back to, in the eye, and I wanted a protection plan at the point of purchase. No deal. And no resolution from the manager.

Went to Home depot to look for a new sink. Picked one out, took it home, but it was damaged. Took it back to Home depot for an exchange. Found another sink just like the one we just took back, but we opened up the box at the store this time to make sure it was ok. Good thing we did that, because it was damaged too. We noticed another sink way up on the top shelving. Same kind of sink. Last one. A guy took it down, We opened the box. Nothing wrong with it. Whew. The guy said he'd give us an extra 10% off because of all the issues we were having with the sink. Score. Thank you!

I bought a Dylan dishwasher from Home Depot. They ordered it online from the store. It arrived in two days. We set it up ran it once and the second time it did not work. I took it to Home Depot in The Dalles and they reordered me a new one. It took a little time but the people at the store worked with me. My new dishwasher arrived the next day and it works perfectly. I just love my counter top dishwasher. Thanks Home Depot for your help and understanding.

Home Depot will report its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings on Tuesday, as investors look for signs that demand for kitchen appliances and supplies for home improvement projects may be rebounding as inflation cools.

Here's what Wall Street analysts are expecting, according to a survey by LSEG, formerly known as Refinitiv:

On calls with investors, Chief Financial Officer Richard McPhail said it would be a "year of moderation" for the retailer as sales patterns normalized. In recent quarters, he has spoken about customers opting for more modest home projects rather than bigger and pricier ones.

As of Friday's close, shares of Home Depot were up nearly 5% this year. That roughly matches the gains of the S&P 500 during the same period. The company's shares closed at $362.35 on Friday, bringing Home Depot's market value to about $360 billion.
